The 49ers are taking a flyer on another former high draft pick. The team has signed defensive lineman Taco Charlton, the Dallas Cowboys’ first-round selection in 2017 out of Michigan.Charlton starred for the Wolverines in his senior year but has not had the same level of impact at the professional level. After Dallas drafted him No. 28 overall, he played just over two seasons with the Cowboys before being released two weeks into the 2019 season. He played the rest of 2019 with the Dolphins, then signed with the Chiefs in 2020 and has since played sparingly with the Steelers and Bears. The 49ers have been a home for several defensive linemen to pump up their value in recent years, as Kerry Hyder Jr. and Arden Key both parlayed stints with the team into larger free-agent deals in recent years.Related ArticlesSan Francisco 49ers | Slowing the 49ers’ bandwagon: How the 2023 season could go wrong San Francisco 49ers | 49ers training camp: Top 5 observ...

The FBI’s secret infiltration and subversion of the racial justice movement in Colorado was challenged Tuesday in a lawsuit alleging that federal and local law enforcement officials abused their powers when they targeted left-wing activists in the summer of 2020.The lawsuit, filed by the American Civil Liberties Union of Colorado, accuses the FBI, the Colorado Springs Police Department, and local police officers of overstepping their authority in infiltrating, surveilling, and requesting search warrants aimed at Colorado Springs activists.
