DC man arrested for sexually assaulting 2 middle school girls A District man has been arrested and charged after police say he allegedly had nonconsensual sex with at least two middle school girls he had befriended through their classmates on social media.On Friday, Metropolitan Police announced they had arrested 19-year-old Luis Quevedo of Northwest D.C. on charges of sexually abusing two middle school girls, ages 12 and 13 years old.The investigation is being run by MPD’s Youth and Family Services Division’s Physical and Sexual Abuse branch.In at least one of the cases, the girl says she believed Quevedo was 15, until she later discovered he was older.More Local NewsMore Crime NewsAccording to charging documents, at least two cases occurred at his family’s apartment in the Columbia Heights neighborhood of D.C., where he lived with his mother, grandmother and six-year-old sister with whom he shared a bunk bed.One of the complainants, who was 12 at the time, said Quevedo helped her run away from her home in Maryland in August...

FOX31 received an anonymous email from a concerned parent about a cheer coach at their child's gym being accused of inappropriate behavior with a minor. The viewer sent a copy of the email they received from the gym informing the families that are a part of the gym that the Adams County Sheriff's Office said Travon Booker,35, is accused of inappropriately touching a minor while alone with them in the gym. 13-year-old leads California police on chase in stolen car and crashes; 1 dead, nearly a dozen injured (CNN) — One person has died and nearly a dozen more were injured after a 13-year-old crashed into two other vehicles while leading police on a chase in a stolen vehicle in California, authorities said.A Woodland Police Department officer spotted a vehicle being driven erratically on Saturday afternoon, according to a news release from the agency. Woodland is located about 15 miles northwest of Sacramento.The officer attempted to pull the vehicle over and a pursuit followed, Woodland police said. Four people brought to hospital after 9-car crash on E Anderson Ln. AUSTIN (KXAN) — Austin-Travis County EMS took four people to Dell Seton Medical Center Sunday night after a nine car crash in the 1400 to 2100 block of E Anderson Ln., according to a tweet from the agency.Two of those transported by ATCEMS are teenagers, and the other two are adults. ATCEMS said that all four have non-life-threatening injuries.In total, 22 people were in the involved vehicles. Police shoot alleged murder suspect in San Bernardino County Police in Redlands shot a 57-year-old man, authorities announced Sunday.  The incident occurred April 8, at around 10 a.m., when Redlands Police Department officers responded to reports of a disturbance outside of a restaurant at the Mountain Grove shopping center, located in 27500 block of San Bernardino Avenue.  “Officers contacted the man who was acting aggressive and erratic and refused to comply with officers’ orders,” a Redland PD news release stated. “When the man made an aggressive movement toward them, officers fired one shot, hitting the suspect in the leg.”  Paramedics with the Redlands Fire Department responded to the scene and treated the man before he was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.  Further investigation into the unidentified man revealed that he “is a suspect in an earlier murder in Riverside County,” police said.  Officials did not provide any additional information about the man’s involvement in that alleged murder....
